The Aviation Journey of Garett Jerde, Founder of JetHQ

The global business aviation industry is a small yet growing industry with much of its success built on not only what you know, but who you know. With a sincere passion for flying and a forward-looking vision, Garett Jerde, Founder of JetHQ, has taken on this industry head-on, combining his vast knowledge with drive and earning worldwide recognition in the international private jet industry.

Garett initially started his aviation journey with the airlines in mind. He studied Commercial Aviation at the University of North Dakota and received his Commercial AEL, MEL, CFI, CFII, and MEI. He completed his final semester at UND and began flight instructing. Garett was awarded an internship with Raytheon Aircraft Company.   During this internship, everything changed, and Corporate Aviation was the one and only direction.  After interning at RAC, Garett did everything he could to get back, including flight instruction, ferry pilot, demo pilot, and eventually Aircraft sales. He later joined Hawker Beechcraft, working as both a pilot and sales professional. Years of practical work helped him gain thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and global market differences, and build solid expertise and industry connections. At the age of 28, he founded JetHQ in Dubai.

Since its launch in 2013, under Garett Jerde’s leadership, JetHQ has grown into a well-known and highly respected broker in the global business aviation market. Our business spans Europe, America, Asia-Pacific and beyond, covering all major global business aviation markets. We provide services for all types of aircraft, including helicopters, light business jets, medium-sized business jets, and large corporate jets, which meet clients’ diverse needs for aircraft transactions and customized aviation services. In recognition of his professional abilities and industry contributions, Garett received the Top 40 Under 40 honors and earned high recognition from international industry peers.

In addition to his business work, Garett Jerde is actively involved in philanthropy, activity, and family. One of his dynamic pursuits was to finish one marathon on each of the seven continents within seven days. The event aims to raise public awareness of veterans’ mental health and reduce veteran suicide rates. Garett continues to give back, demonstrating his belief in the social responsibility of a business leader.
